Jo Fleming
I was born in Quincy California and raised in and around Redding in Northern California. As a child I always enjoyed the few art shows my mother would take me to see. I was capivated by how the artists would use color and line to convey an image.
The summer I turned 18 I was introduced to Eastern Oregon in a bit of an abrupt way. But through the years I began to realize the beauty around me.
My art instruction began at Walla Walla College in Washington. From there I transfered to Eastern Oregon University for the last three years of my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. The following year I earned an interior design degree from the College of Interior Design in Beverly Hills, California.
Always a lover of fabric I began quilting as my artistic form of expression. My paints and brushes stayed packed away for the next 25 years until in 2005 I started to watercolor for the first time. In the winter of 2006 I unthawed my oil paints and picked up my brush again.
I have visited or lived in all but 8 of our united States and have had the opportunity for some outside travel. I now reside in Baker City, Oregon, uS of A.
There is so much to paint--how will I ever get it all done!?
